Get creative this summer with local course tutor Marianne of "Crafty Basketry". Under her expert tuition, children can create their very own dragonfly to take home.
Marianne, a full-time basket maker and willow grower, teaches traditional basket weaving techniques in a supportive environment, where children can learn new skills, build confidence, and take pride in creating something with their own hands.
Her workshops introduce young people to the ancient craft of basketry using natural willow, encouraging patience, focus, and creativity away from screens. Through gentle guidance and step-by-step teaching, Marianne helps each child work at their own pace, developing practical skills.
In these one hour workshops, suitable for 8 to 12 years olds, children will create their own beautiful willow dragonfly. The price for one child accompanied by an adult includes enough material for you to make your own creation.
