Steam trains through the glorious Weald
There’s never been a better time to enjoy the beautiful Weald of Kent and East Sussex. Steam trains leave Tenterden at 10.40am and 1.15pm every Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday throughout October. Our Diesel Observation trains will also be operating for the first three weekends, departing Tenterden at 11.45am and 2.20pm – giving you the Freedom to enjoy your time at our stations and enjoy the local amenities during your visit.
During half-term from Saturday 23rd to Sunday 31st October (except Monday and Friday when we’ll be closed) there will be 4 steam departures from Tenterden at 10.40am, 11.45am, 13.15pm and 2.20pm. With pre booked tickets for half term, children will receive free on-board activities including making a wildlife mask!
You can also board our trains at Northiam station, where there is free customer parking, or at Bodiam station where there is pedestrian access only.
