Green Fun Day
We hope you can join us on Sunday 26th April
10am to 4pm
In partnership with Sustainable Tenterden, join us for a fun packed day with a variety of different crafts, activities and stalls including the below.
- Tenterden Repair Cafe volunteers will be on hand to show you how to repair a variety of household items at intervals throughout the day. Children will also have the opportunity to try out their very own repair on an electric microscope under expert guidance.
- Ever wondered what lurks in ponds? Trevor Boulden of Tenterden Wildlife Group will be on hand to help you discover for yourself, with a pond dipping activity.
- Meet baby goats and lambs thanks to Homewood School, who will also be happy to share tips on sustainable farming.
- Have your face painted and try out a variety of craft activities using recycled items.
- Get plenty of tips on how to live more sustainably.
- Local charity, Demelza, will be offering a wide selection of pre-loved toys.
- Learn more about the latest Kent and East Sussex Railway environmental measures and meet the creator of the beautifully illustrated Explorer's book, Rick Hatfield, who will be happy to sign your copy!
The Tenterden Rock Choir will also be providing entertainment at noon.
