Country Fair At Tenterden and Bodiam Stations
6th and 7th September 2025
This weekend we will be championing local businesses and celebrating artisan crafts and countryside activities. Come along and join the fun!
Entry to the event is included in train travel. Platform tickets are also available on the day
At Tenterden Station
Traction engines will be on display
A variety of local craftspeople and traders will be offering a wide range of products to tempt you. Come along and support local small businesses.

Boship Green Pottery showcasing beautiful coiled terracotta planters and a vibrant medley of handmade ceramic dishes, vases and jugs
Joy from the Hive with honey and a selection of other hive sourced products
Park Ceramics offering stunning handmade ceramics inspired by nature and the countryside
Warehorne Vineyard a family run business producing local Kentish wine including the chance to sample and buy wine by the glass or bottle
Perky Pins selling a selection of pin badges, jewellery, accessories and gifts
Tipsy Bakery offering delicious alcohol-infused cupcakes, cookies and a selection of traybakes to tempt your taste buds!
At Bodiam Station
Enjoy a variety of crafts, demonstrations and entertainment throughout the weekend
Les Langley Chainsaw artist – will be creating beautiful wildlife sculptures, come and see him at work
Julian Apps, talented walking stick maker, selling his beautiful country inspired creations
E-roots creations making hand forged metal items and giving regular live forge demonstrations
Meet some of the Great Dixter team, who will be whittling, making hurdles and explaining greenwood working techniques and the tools used
Bee Kind Club will be selling a selection of bee related merchandise and offering FREE family activities including rock painting
Rachel's Cosplay coop - rescue hens who will be happy to pose for photos over the weekend.

We will still be Celebrating our Hopping Story
September is traditionally when the hopping season would have started.
Take a trip down memory lane, learning all about hop picking in the local area.
Have you ever been up close to the magic ingredient that helps to make your beer? Visit our hop garden where you will be able to touch and smell the hops.
Our replica hoppers hut will be open for visitors to see how hop pickers would have lived. Learn more about the history of hop picking and the local Bodiam area with Bodiam volunteers Vic and Colin.
Our staff will be dressing for the occasion and you can enjoy a display of hopping equipment.
Pick up your on-board hopping activity sheets to enjoy while you travel through the Rother Valley.
Bodiam will have A bar open and a selection of hot and cold food will be available.

Music will be supplied on Saturday by the Stringles
and Boots and Bling on Sunday
Anderida Border and Wolfshead Vixen Morris sides will be dancing on Sunday
