Visitors are warmly invited to come along, admire these beautifully preserved motorcycles and chat with their owners, who are always happy to share the fascinating history behind the bikes.

 

A Little About Velocette

Velocette was a renowned British motorcycle manufacturer based at Hall Green, Birmingham, operating as Veloce Ltd from 1907 until 1971.

Celebrated for its hand-built quality and technical innovation, the marque achieved major racing success, securing the 350cc World Championships in both 1949 and 1950.

Today, the Velocette Owners Club has an active worldwide membership dedicated to preserving these iconic machines.

The Kent Centre of the Velocette Owners Club meets on the first Wednesday of each month, and we are delighted to gather at Tenterden Town Station from April to October, between 11:00am to 1:00pm

The motorcycles on display typically range from 1936 to around 1968, offering a wonderful glimpse into British motorcycling heritage. Among them is a 1948 Velocette KTT 350 Mark VIII, a rare factory-built racing motorcycle closely related to the championship-winning machines that claimed the 350cc World Championships in 1949 and 1950.
