Station Refreshment Rooms

Tenterden Town

Originally erected in 1922, this building was formerly the “Maidstone & District Motor Services” waiting room at Palace Avenue, Maidstone and is reputed to have been the first purpose-built bus station. Today, its Art Deco interior is a pleasant place to enjoy a freshly prepared meal, local ale or some light refreshments. The menu changes daily and our special offers ensure there’s always something great to enjoy!

The Station Refreshment Rooms are accessible to wheelchair users and open between 10am and 4.30pm every day that train services operate. Additional seating is available outside adjacent to the children’s play area, from where you may watch the trains arrive & depart. If you’re not travelling on our trains, the cost of a standard platform ticket is refunded when purchasing refreshments. Please note that dogs (other than assistance dogs) are not permitted in the Station Refreshment Rooms.

The Station Refreshment Rooms are also available for private functions: please contact us <<<How???>>>
