The Kent & East Sussex Railway is currently closed

The K&ESR has the safety and well-being of our customers, volunteers & staff as its highest priority.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and Government instructions, it is with immense regret that we have cancelled all public train services until the end of June.

Customers who have purchased tickets or experience packages are being contacted individually.

Customers who have tickets for the ‘Day Out with Thomas’ event in April will be contacted by Quay Tickets. In the meantime, those customers who have immediate questions about ‘Day Out With Thomas’ can contact the Quay Tickets Booking Office on 0843 208 1840 or email info@quaytickets.com

Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.

The Kent & East Sussex Railway is a registered educational charity & relies on its visitors to keep it running for todays & future generations to enjoy. We ask that those who are able to afford to do so kindly donate the price of their ticket to support us at this exceptionally difficult time and we offer our thanks for your ongoing support.

Along with many other businesses in the heritage & tourism field, we have closed to visitors at a time when our finances are already at their lowest ebb, following the winter maintenance closure. We are therefore appealing for donations to help the railway through this extraordinary period. Donations of any amount are welcome!
