Please note

  • Dogs, with the exception of assistance dogs are not permitted at this event
  • Thomas will spend the day at Tenterden Town Station so that everyone can meet him, but a real steam engine will pull the special trains to and from Wittersham Road Station (return journey duration approx. 50 minutes)
  • A K&ESR photographer will be taking photographs at Tenterden Station & on the trains for marketing purposes

By car – FREE parking TN30 6HE
We are less than an hour by car from the M25. Tenterden is on the A28 between Ashford and Hastings and has a car park, which is free all day for our passengers. In the event of our car park at Tenterden being full, pay and display car parks are available nearby - click HERE for a map.

Train services from London and the South East connect with bus routes to Tenterden from Rye, Hastings, Maidstone and Ashford. The nearest station to Tenterden is Headcorn.

Accessibility

Our facilities have been carefully designed for the mobility impaired, elderly or less mobile visitor in mind.
Accessible toilets can be found at Tenterden Station.

We are proud to boast a specially designed coach 'Petros' for visitors with impaired mobility, which is fitted with ramped access, wide aisles, an accessible toilet and moveable seating. There is full wheelchair access to the Gift Shop and Refreshment Roons at Tenterden Town, and the Colonel Stephens Railway Museum has level access with 42” aisles.

The Tenterden ticket office is fitted with an induction loop.
